Basic information about the region

The Helsinki region consists of the municipalities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area – Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen – and the KUUMA municipalities of Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Nurmijärvi, Sipoo, Tuusula, Vihti, Mäntsälä and Pornainen.

Karttakuvio. Pääkaupunkiseutuun sisältyy Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa sekä Kauniainen. Helsingin seutuun sisältyy näiden kuntien lisäksi myös KUUMA-kunnat eli Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Sipoo, Tuusula ja Vihti.
